VETERINARIAN
Dr Carel Breytenbach qualified at the University of Pretoria, Onderstepoort in 1994. He soon after started working at Muldersdrift Animal Clinic where he gained vital experience in the hard knocks and let downs that life throws at us, but in this he made lifelong friends.
His invaluable knowledge and wisdom through all these years of experience and learning have served in making him the renowned Veterinarian he is today.
It is in the trying times that he learnt respect is both something to be given and received.
True to Veterinarians, he’s always had the ability to communicate better with the
four-legged species then the two-legged ones, but by his own admission this skill
has improved with age.
In his spare time, he is a proud breeder of Carlu Great Danes. His aim being to
breed a Great Dane as close as possible to the Breed Standard, whilst also
spreading his immense love for Great Danes amongst all people. He also has a beloved Game Farm that brings him the utmost joy and holds a very special place in his heart, as spending time in nature is a truly valued privilege to him. “All creatures Great and Small, I love them all.” Is most definitely the truest
embodiment both professionally and privately for our ever-valued Dr Carel Breytenbach.
VETERINARIAN
Dr Michael Sutton who graduated from Onderstepoort in 2017, has been an integral part of Muldersdrift Animal Clinic since he walked through the door. His kind and caring nature has seen him thrive over the years with our clinic. Many a patient and owner are grateful for his undying dedication to all animals that cross his path.
Dr Mike has passions in all the veterinary fields and thrives when learning new skills or an opportunity in bettering his current skills is presented to him. He takes a special liking for the adventurous tasks we get presented with, such as jackal captures and darting of wildlife etc. His passion for Equines has grown in leaps and bounds over the passing years, which sees him doing many a tendon scan or X-ray workup on
our equine friends. His love for them seems to be as undying as his love for restoring classic motorcycles! Which on his off time you will find him doing no doubt.
His keen mind for learning and growth across the various aspects of Veterinary
Science have seen him perform tricky orthopaedic operations, one in particular for a rescue case that made our local newspapers! His love, care and kind, soft spoken nature, as well as his unwavering dedication to all animals that cross his path truly do make him a vet in a million!

PRACTICE MANAGER
Leanne joined the Muldersdrift Animal Clinic team in April 2017. She has grown up in front of our eyes to become a responsible young woman on whom we can depend not only to establish the smooth day-to-day running of the practice but also for moral support when life gets tough. She is the first face our clients see when they enter the practice, and she has a soft heart and is kindly spoken. Leanne has a menagerie of pets at home, all weird, rescued, and deeply loved. She loves her boy, her dad, and life. In her spare time, she makes sure to enjoy life to the fullest even though that may result in headaches the next morning. Though life has thrown her some challenges, Leanne has remained steadfast on the road of bettering herself and life for those around her. She's a remarkable young woman now but will forever remain the youngster of the family.
VETERINARY NURSE
Sr Lucill Breytenbach is the truest embodiment of Muldersdrift Animal Clinic and genuinely the core of our Muldersdrift family. Absolutely everything that’s great about our practice begins and ends with Lucill.
Over the many years she’s seen it all and continues to showcase her love and care for all furry friends, particularly the Great Dane variety! She’s Never far away from the practice, always there lending an ear and advice, or a helping hand. Carrying the team through our toughest journeys, our greatest moments and all of our accomplishments has become second nature to her...
Oh, and did I mention……... she’s a pretty skilled nurse too!!!!
She too, like her husband, shares a passion for the outdoors and nature, and revels in the time spent on their game farm with many a Great Dane side by side. There’s definitely something about being in the calm of nature that makes these two the power duo of our Practice…. this I’m sure of!!!! Either that, or it’s the Great Danes.
